1:1 Coaching for changemakers looking to make an impact while remaining whole
If there was a way to drive social change while honoring your humanness — your feelings, sensations, desires, and longings…
Would you abandon what the world’s taught us is possible and instead imagine and create another way of being?
If you said yes or became curious — then you are in the right place!
In a world where: 1) what we achieve is prioritized over how we move through the world, 2) impact and worth are measured in terms of numbers, and 3) productivity and efficiency are celebrated over our core values …
… we can easily lose touch with our deep knowing of what matters most.
And many of us, myself included, rarely had the opportunity to explore who we are and what we yearn for in the first place.
We may struggle to unlearn our predisposed notion of how we’re “supposed” to be and instead learn to make choices that are rooted in our own values.
I did. And it is an ongoing process for me. Does this sound familiar to you too?
Good news is we don’t have to go at it all alone. I’ll help you align your life and work with your core values, so you can do things differently.
︴What is this 1:1 coaching?
It is a 1:1 presence-driven, unfolding process in which you are the authority and expert of your life whereas I am your thought-partner.
Together we co-create a non-judgmental space where:
You talk about whatever you want to clarify, grapple with your questions, and find your own answers.
I listen reflectively, share questions and observations, and walk you through exercises where needed.
︴Who is this for?
This is a good fit if you:
Want to make a change in your life or work with clarity of what matters
Struggle to honor the wholeness in yourself, your team, and those you serve while making an impact
Want to invite more softness and joy into your everyday life — so perfectionism, grind and burnout become a thing of the past
Want to break thought and behavioral patterns — so you do what you’re called to do as your untamed self
Value collective care through equitable and regenerative solutions while pushing back against individualism
︴How can this coaching support me?
It will support you to:
Tend to your emotions, sensations, and thoughts
Tune into your body
Play with your imagination, using metaphors and night/daydreams
so you can:
Reconnect to your innate wisdom
Explore and clarify what you yearn for
Dismantle internalized patterns and assumptions
Expand and imagine what is possible
Maximize your impact to be an agent of change in your sphere of influence

︴How long is it?
Coaching is a big investment of time, resources, and energy. And it’s not my intention to keep you in coaching forever, so I see you for up to 4 months (16 sessions) on a particular topic of your choice.
Our work together focuses on making internal shifts to allow external changes to happen outside the sessions at the pace and capacity it requires.
Whenever you feel it would be helpful, I’d love to welcome you back in our coaching relationship.
Hi I’m Nanami, your co-creative partner!
I believe that we can live and work in a way that makes our body, heart, mind and soul in alignment. I am here to support you in accessing your innate wisdom and taking inspired action.
I always wanted to be “good” and do “good” in the world. But measuring my worth against what’s considered important socially, it cost my human self. This left me burned out, feeling not enough, and resentful — far off from “good.”
I wanted to explore and embody alternatives to the harmful expectations. I wanted to live, work, and make change in a way that is rooted in what matters most to me. And I wanted to be part of the solution for the community that I deeply care about.
So, I seek to support my fellow changemakers in making choices from a place of alignment with their core values.
Our relentless, steady personal work will bring real collective changes just as each wave is unique and yet inseparable from the ocean.
Looking to pave the way for collective liberation with ease and wellness?
Let’s chat more on a pressure-free 30-minute clarity call where we ask each other questions and see if we are a good fit.
︴What can I expect from this coaching?
I don’t promise how coaching will change your life given that each of us is different and complex — how we exist within a sea of intersecting identities and forces that affect us, how we experience and perceive ourselves and the world, and what and how we want to change.
My promise is that I will hold a non-judgmental space for you to explore whatever you want with my utmost presence, curiosity, transparency, and authenticity as another human.
Explore more about my approach in the following section:
-
I will hold a space where all parts of you are welcome. I will help you tend to your feelings, thoughts, and sensations, without assuming how a situation affects you. I will help you pay attention to messages that those “uncomfortable” ones carry to remind you of your deep knowing.
-
I will respect you as the authority and expert of your life and my co-creative partner. There is no hierarchy here. I will collaborate with you to clarify what you want to change, expand ways of seeing your situations, and access your own wisdom of what to do.
-
Our work will be centered around values. We will work together to clarify what matters and how to fulfill the desires and embody the qualities that you want in your life, rather than having you reach prescribed goals.
-
I will be transparent about patterns that I see may get in your way, without blaming or shaming you. With your permission, we will work together to dismantle those patterns while acknowledging your feelings and lived experiences.
-
I will honor your lived experiences that are unique and different from everyone else’s. And I believe that coaching is unfolding, not a linear process. So I will meet you where you are and partner with you to decide the direction for each session. The route we take will be presence driven, and your input and feedback are crucial in making our time most meaningful.
-
First of all, you are complete, rather than broken in need of fixing. And our work, centered around unlearning predisposed notions and reorienting to your values, may take time. While dominant culture convinces us that the faster is the better, I honor the pace and rhythm that the real change may need to occur.

This is not for those who want to dig deep in past events or want to heal from major trauma, emotional issues affecting daily functioning, and suicidal thoughts.
Unlike therapy that may extensively explore the past hardships, our work is present and future focused. We may touch on the past, but we won't reside there long. And seeking help from licensed mental health professionals is critical and will be much more suitable for your healing.
-
Are you someone who does not like to be told what to do? If so, coaching suits you. In our coaching relationship, you are the authority and expert on your life.
Unlike other practices that may provide experts' knowledge and recommendations, my coaching will help you explore and remember what you already know is best for you and take actions inspired from within.

Whatever you would like to change in your life — whether it’s a circumstance, feeling, thought, or behavior, however trivial or silly it might seem. Everything you bring is worth delving into!
Once we decide to work together, I will ask you to fill out an intake form. That gives me an idea of where you are currently at in your life and work and how you would like to change moving forward.
Also, in the beginning of each session, I will ask you what you’d like to be coached on and what you’d like to change.
-
I will ask you to fill out and send me a reflection/prep sheet (5 questions) 24 hours in advance of our coaching calls, for you to get the most out of coaching.
-
You can Voxer (text or voice chat) me. I’ll respond during my office hours: Monday–Friday 10 am–4 pm JST.
-
I highly suggest that we work from 1 to 4 months (weekly 60-minute sessions) of your choice on a particular topic. Whenever you feel it would be helpful, I’d love to welcome you back in our coaching relationship.

While I hope that all of my clients enjoy the coaching sessions, I understand that it may not be the right time or right fit for everyone. I honor refund requests for the remaining sessions that are submitted before the coaching engagement end date written in the initial agreement. Refund requests for the used sessions may not be eligible for a refund.
